A kids' lemonade stand getting mixed up in a lawsuit with the biggest company in town? That's a recipe for disaster.
Music, Book & Lyrics by Dave Breidenstine, Sean Eisenhauer & John Fischer
Orchestrations by Jonathan Shoff
Welcome to the company town of Aquackanack, Pennsylvania, home of the Yellow Harvest Lemonade Company. For 154 years, Yellow Harvest has provided employment and a sense of local pride to its workers and community. But it has also created a need to conform, pledge allegiance, and never dare to be different.
When twins Wade and Ro Palmer accidentally destroy a priceless company heirloom, their browbeaten father Doug puts them to work making amends. They gravitate to the one thing they think will make them a quick buck: lemonade. But they soon uncover the town's true feelings on the current product: it stinks. With a little experimentation, they stumble upon a recipe that wins over the whole town.
Meanwhile, Yellow Harvest's anxious fifth-generation owner Alvin Costermonger, egged on by his ambitious lawyer Roger, responds the only way a corporation knows how: with a lawsuit and a media smear campaign. The only person in the building who thinks this might be a bad idea is Zoey, the executive assistant holding the whole operation together.
The people of Aquackanack will need to decide what they value most: the safety of tradition that's taking them nowhere, or the risk of something both new and nostalgic that can breathe new life into their town.
